Palos Hills Man Charged in Theft of Cancer Donation

A man surrendered to police today in connection with the theft of a donation jar.

Joseph Campione, 44, of Palos Hills, walked into the Crestwood police station shortly before 8 a.m. today and was charged with felony theft for stealing a donation jar for a woman suffering from cancer, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

The theft took place about 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Shop Mart at 13650 Cicero Ave. in Crestwood.
