Hills Resident Finds Burglars In Driveway

Two Palos Hills homes were targeted in home invasions in recent weeks.

are investigating two residential burglaries that occurred in town over the last two weeks.   

On Thursday, July 5 at 12:15 p.m., a resident of the 11100 block of Possum Drive returned home to find his front door damaged, police said. 

When he went inside he found items thrown all over his house. After surveying the damage he discovered that a laptop, cameras and jewelry were missing.

The week prior, on June 27 around 1:30 p.m., a resident of a home on the 10500 block of Kathy Court returned to a surprise. A strange car was in the driveway.

Police say the resident saw three men taking a television and jug filled with coins from the house. The resident then attempted to block the driveway with her car preventing the burglars from leaving.

The burglars then fled anyway, hitting her car on the way out, police said. 

After examining the damage the resident found that an iPod and two laptops were taken, police said.

The suspects were described as male blacks and were driving a black car. 

Men matching the same description and driving a similarly described car also pulled into the driveway of a home on the 8400 block of Sun Valley Drive on July 5 at 1:30 p.m. They left once they discovered the resident was home.
