Palos Hills Convenience Store Robbed, Clerk Pepper Sprayed

The two suspects have not been caught.

A Palos Hills convenience store was robbed last week by two unknown men who sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray at the clerk. 

On Thursday, Dec. 12 just after 9 p.m. two men wearing ski masks over their faces entered Palos Pantry, 8100 W. 111th St., and sprayed the clerk in the face and took the cash register drawer, a second cashier's drawer and what was inside of an unlocked safe, police said. 

After he was sprayed, the clerk dropped his cell phone which the men also took. All told, the robbers made off with about $2,225 in cash, police said. 

The suspects are described by police as follows: 

  • A man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black gloves, white shoes, a white undershirt and black and red colored boxers.  
  • A man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black jeans, black gloves and black shoes. 

Detectives are currently investigating the incident.
