Abusharif met the Palos Heights man in 1998 and started behaving in a way that alarmed him, police said. Abusharif has been arrested four times since that first contact. She was charged with trespassing three times in Palos Heights and with telephone harassment by authorities in Oak Lawn, where the man runs a business.

Several orders not to speak with the man were issued to Abusharif by Cook County judges over the past five years, said Palos Heights Sgt. Tim Holder.
