THURSDAY, AUG. 23

DUI Arrest for Orland Park Woman

Kristen M. Halper, 28, of the 11300 block of Longwood Circle in Orland Park was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal and two counts of driving under the influence. Police said they stopped a vehicle driven by Halper at about 2:27 a.m. near 12500 S. Ridgeland Ave. after an officer reportedly saw it disobey a traffic control device. Halper's car was stopped, after which she was stopped and charged with drunken driving. She later submitted to a breathalyzer test and received the second DUI charge. Halper was booked and given a $1,000 bond.

Speeding and a DUI Charge

Scott D. Schreiner, 45, of the 19900 block of Newton Way in Mokena was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, according to a report. Police said they stopped Schreiner's car at about 1:41 a.m. near 13100 S. Harlem Ave. for speeding. During the investigation, police arrested Schreiner and charged him with drunken driving. He was booked and given a $1,000 bond.

DUI Charge for Chicago Ridge Man

Robert Scott, 32, of 5700 block of West 106th Street in Chicago Ridge was charged with improper lane use, driving under the influence and failing to wear a seatbelt, according to a police report. Scott's vehicle was stopped by police at about 11:28 p.m. near 6800 W. 127th St. During the stop, he was arrested on a drunken driving charge. Scott was booked and given a $1,000 bond.

Palos Heights Man Charged with DUI after Striking Parked Car

Christopher Weybright, 49, of the first block of Spyglass Circle in Palos Heights, was charged with driving under the influence and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to a police report. Police said his vehicle struck a parked car at about 3:24 p.m. near 11850 S. Harlem Ave. and that he showed signs of having drunk alcohol. He was arrested, booked and given a $1,000 bond.

SATURDAY, AUG. 25

Indiana Woman Faces Drunken Driving Charge

Lakeshia M. Moore, 34, of the 1500 block of N. Glenwood St. in Griffith, Ind., was charged with improper lane use and two counts of driving under the influence, according to a police report. Moore reportedly was stopped for using her lane improperly at about midnight near 13500 S. Harlem Ave. and was then arrested on a drunken driving charge. She was booked and given a $1,000 bond.

Running a Red and DUI Charges

Andrew Vukovich, 25, of 15500 block of Sunset Ridge Dr. in Orland Park was charged with disobeying a red light, driving with a revoked license and two counts of driving under the influence, according to a police report. Police said Vukovich was stopped after running a red light. She was submitted to field sobriety tests, after which she was arrested. Vukovich was booked and given a $3,000 bond.
