Palos Heights Police Blotter: Shattered Windows, DUIs and Burglarized Garages

An overview of crime that occurred in Palos Heights from Sept. 1 to Sept. 6.

In the overnight hours of Sept. 1 and 2 two unlocked vehicles were entered in the Country Squire subdivision. A wallet was taken from one vehicle and nothing was found missing from the second, police said.

 Daniela Williams, 28, of the 2600 block of Emerald Court in Woodridge, was arrested for driving under the influence on Sept. 3 at 1:50 a.m. Williams was traveling east on 127th Street approaching 76th Avenue. Her vehicle was skidding across both lanes of traffic, she then struck the traffic standard on the southeast corner of 127th Street and 76th Avenue, police said. Williams was found to have a blood alcohol level of .173, police said.

Michael J. Hennigan, 19, of the 6600 block of ridge Drive in Chicago Ridge, was stopped for speeding and improper lane usage on the 12700 block of Harlem Avenue on Sept. 4 at 1:24 a.m. After further investigation Hennigan was arrested for driving under the influence, police said.

Joanna Tidwell, 23, of the 7800 block of Central Avenue in Burbank, was stopped for improper lane usage on Sept. 4 on the 12700 block of Harlem Ave. After further investigation she was charged with driving under the influence, police said.

 Lee B. Roegner, 37, of the 12400 block of Menard in Alsip, struck a parked car and mailbox on the 7300 block of Kiowa Lane, police said. After an investigation, Roegner was charged with driving under the influence, improper backing, no insurance and transportation of open alcohol, police said.

Paige M. Schroeder, 18, of the 9600 block of 52nd Avenue in Oak Lawn, was stopped for improper lane usage on Sept. 5 at 2:56 a.m. on the 11500 block of Harlem Avenue. Schroeder was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license and improper lane usage, police said.

A male juvenile was arrested after he keyed a vehicle on the 12100 block of 72nd Court on Sept. 5.

A group of male juveniles were arrested on Sept. 5 at approximately 2 a.m. after entering an unlocked garage on the 12700 block of Auburn Drive and removing a popcorn machine, video projector, fishing tackle box, a case of beer and bottle of vodka, police said.

Unknown individuals shattered 2 windows at the Recreation Department sometime between Sept. 4 and Sept. 6.
