MONDAY, JAN. 23

With Pot in the Car, Man Almost Hits Cop Car

Michael Becerra, 25, of the 12400 block of Nashville, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Becerra was stopped at 10:21 p.m. in the 11900 block of Ridgeland Avenue after he failed to yield as he was pulling out of a driveway, almost hitting a police car. A small amount of cannabis and a pipe were found in the car, police said. 

Unlocked Car Leads to Stolen Items

A small amount of money, a leather jacket and a pair of Air Jordans were taken from an unlocked car parked on Pinehurst Court during the night, police said.

SUNDAY, JAN. 22

DUI on Harlem Avenue

Melanie Pucel, 21, of the 9400 block of Point Circle in Darien, was charged with drunken driving. At 3:21 a.m., Pucel was stopped in the 12600 block of Harlem Avenue for improper lane usage and having only one lit headlight, police said. She submitted to and failed a breath test, police said.

DUI on Harlem Avenue

Lee John Wayne Novak, 43, of the 7500 block of Latrobe in Burbank, was charged with drunken driving. He was stopped at 12:21 a.m. for speeding and not signaling a lane change, police said. He failed a breath test, police said. 

SATURDAY, JAN. 21

DUI on Harlem Avenue

Erik Andersen, 35, of the 13600 block of Cherry Lane in Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving and operation of an uninsured vehicle. He was stopped 8:30 p.m. in the 13000 block of Harlem Avenue, police said. 

DUI on Harlem Avenue

Ryan Murphy, 29, of the 17000 block of Ridgeland Avenue in Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving. He was stopped at 4:07 a.m. in the 13000 block of Harlem Avenue for speeding, police said. 

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 18

DUI on 127th Street

Jay Grady, 30, of the 15900 block of Olcott in Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving. He was stopped at 2:14 a.m. and failed a breath test, police said.
