Palos Heights Police Blotter: Pipe Stealing, Pipe Smoking and DUIs

Palos Heights police reports, Feb. 1 to Feb. 7.

MONDAY, FEB. 6

Pot Pipe Possession

Anna Marinier, 31, of Meadow Lane in Palos Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and no proof of insurance. She was stopped at 4:43 p.m. for traveling 56 mph in a 35 mph zone, police said. Officers found a glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue in her car, police said.

DUI on College Drive 

Anmarie Wrona, 34, of the 14800 block of Kilpatrick in Midlothian, was charged with drunken driving and no proof of insurance. She was stopped at 10:52 a.m. in the 6600 block of College Drive, police said. Wrona failed field sobriety tests and an open bottle of liquor was found inside her car, police said. 

DUI on Harlem Avenue

Jeffrey Graves, 54, of the 11600 block of Nagle Avenue in Worth, was charged with driving under the influence. He was stopped at 11:38 p.m. in the 12100 block of Harlem Avenue, police said. Graves failed a breath test, police said.

DUI on 127th Street

Marcin Figus, 21, of the 8500 block of Massasoit Avenue in Burbank, was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. He was stopped at 1:41 a.m. for a burnt out headlight, police said. He submitted to and failed a breath test, police said. 

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 1

License Already Suspended For DUI, Gets Another 

Robert Carroll, 60, of the 9600 block of Meade in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence and felony driving on a revoked license. Carroll was stopped at 1:15 a.m. in the 6800 block of College Drive for a seatbelt violation, police said. Officers detected the smell of alcohol on Carroll's breath, he refused to submit to a breath test, police said. His license had already been revoked for a past DUI, police said. 

Pipe Perp Caught

Michael Miller, 48, of the 8600 block of 82nd Court in Hickory Hills, was charged with theft. A man matching his description was seen taking a 12 foot iron pipe from a constriction site in the 7700 block of 123rd Street, police said. After his description was transmitted to police, he was spotted with the pipe in the 12700 block of Mobile, police said. Miller was arrested, and the $240 pipe was returned to the site, police said.
