Palos Heights police blotter, Aug. 2 - 6.

THURSDAY, AUG. 2

Vodka Grabber

Nicholas Spence, 37, of the 9100 block of 141st Street in Orland Park, was charged with retail theft. He hid a bottle of vodka under his clothing and attempted to leave Jewel without paying until he was stopped by security, police said.

Pot Possession

John Gomulka, 19, of South Beloit, was charged with cannabis possession. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped at 8:45 p.m. because he was not wearing a seat belt, police said. He had marijuana and drug paraphernalia on his person, police said.

DUI on Route 83

Stanislaw Waksmundzki, 33, of the 9100 block of 55th Avenue in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence and operation of an uninsured vehicle. He was found asleep at the wheel at a traffic light and he failed a breath, police said.
