Palos Heights Police Blotter: DUI and Two Marijuana Arrests

Palos Height police reports, June 10-14.

TUESDAY, JUNE 14

Package of Marijuana

Lamar Bowens, 18, of the 10900 block of South Peoria in Chicago, was charged with posession of cannabis. Bowens was walking down Ridgeland Avenue when he noticed police officers and threw a package on the ground, police said. Police found the package contained four bags of marijuana, the report said.

Marijuana Posession

John Caher, 49, of the 9200 block of 119th Street in Palos Park, was charged with posession of marijuana. At 2:07 p.m., Caher was stopped in the 11700 block of Harlem Avenue after obstructing traffic at a green light, police said. Police smelled marijuana and during the course of conversation Caher handed the officer a bag containing less than .10 grams of what is suspected to be marijuana, police said.

SUNDAY, JUNE 12

DUI on Harlem Avenue

Danielle Lanham, 23, of the 6800 block of White Egret Court in Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving. At about 9:32 a.m., Lanham was stopped in the 13100 block of Ridgeland Avenue for not wearing a seatbelt and improperly displaying her plates, police said. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level over .08, police said.
