Palos Heights Police Blotter: Drunk Driver in the Wrong Lane Was Four Times the Legal Limit

Jennifer Easthope, 40, of the 5100 block of Shadow Creek Drive in Palos Heights, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), open alcohol in the vehicle and driving in the wrong lane of traffic. Police said they stopped Easthope’s car in the 7100 block of 127th Street around 3 p.m. for driving on the wrong side of the road. Her breath examination showed a blood alcohol level four times the legal limit, police said.

Signal Fail
Devan M. Vanwitzenburg, 21, of the 10600 block of Mayfield in Chicago Ridge, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage. Police said they stopped Vanwitzenburg’s car in the 12600 block of Harlem Avenue around 1 a.m. for drifting between lanes and failing to signal.
