Palos Heights Police Blotter: 4 DUIs and a Pair of Pot Possessions

Palos Heights police reports, Jan. 6 to 10.

MONDAY, JAN. 9

Pot Possession

Brian Dominici, 24, of the 7900 block of 164th Place in Tinley Park, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped at 12:46 a.m. in the 12200 block of Harlem Avenue for a burnt out headlight, police said. An odor of burnt marijuana was detected and a metal grinder containing the drug was found, police said.

DUI on Harlem

Timothy Linane, 18, of the 11000 block of Kenneth in Oak Lawn, was charged with drunken driving. He was stopped at 2:50 a.m. in the 13000 block of Harlem Avenue for speeding, police said. Police detected a strong odor of alcohol and he failed field sobriety tests, police said. A breath test resulted in a blood alcohol level over .08, police said. 

DUI on Harlem

Naima Rahman, 31, of the 5600 block of 101st Street in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license and operation on an uninsured vehicle. She was stopped at 12:25 a.m. in the 12200 block of Harlem Avenue for speeding, police said. Her speech was severely slurred and she had a strong odor of alcohol, police said. She refused all field sobriety tests, police said.

SATURDAY, JAN. 7

DUI on College Drive

Juan Gonzalez, 38, of the 9100 block of 52nd Street in Oak Lawn, was charged driving under the influence of alcohol. He was stopped at 1:47 a.m. in the 7500 block of College Drive for speeding, police said. Gonzalez failed field sobriety tests and a breath test, police said. 

FRIDAY, JAN. 6

DUI on Harlem

Merrybeth Gentile, 24, of the 8700 block of 82nd Court in Hickory Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and no proof of insurance. She was stopped at 3:50 a.m. in the 12000 block of Harlem Avenue for speeding, police said. Gentile failed field sobriety tests and a breath test, police said. 

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 4 

Pot Possession

Luke Oosterbaan, 18, of the 7200 block of Ishnala Drive, was charged with possession of cannabis. Michael Pufunt, 18, of the 12800 block of Winnebago Road was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The men were stopped in the 7500 block of Ishnala Drive at 2:11 a.m., police said. Officers detected the smell of cannabis and charged Oosterbaan, the driver, with possession. A glass smoking pipe was also found on the seat of the car, police said.
