Reports said that Oleskiewicz’s girlfriend called police after she found her boyfriend passed out in the car on the driveway.

When police arrived, they discovered a Toyota Corolla with heavy damage to its front end. Officers said the engine was running and Oleskiewicz was asleep inside the car that had a deployed air bag.

Police said when they woke the man up he was barely coherent. Paramedics from the treated Oleskiewicz on the scene and helped him walk to a waiting ambulance, reports said.

The girlfriend told police that Oleskiewicz left the house around 2:30 a.m. to go his job at a local tavern to stock the bar for the next day. Around 3:10 p.m., he texted his girlfriend telling her he would be home in 10 minutes, police said.

At 4:46 a.m. when he still hadn’t come home, she called Oleskiewicz to see where he was but he didn’t answer. Police said that when she found Oleskiewicz in the driveway around 5 a.m., she called 911.

Oleskiewicz was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center when police were unable to awaken him. While undergoing a medical procedure, blood was drawn and Oleskiewicz’s blood-alcohol content was determined to be .207, police said.

Police again tried to awaken Oleskiewicz in the emergency room. As he slept, an officer read him the motorist’s warning for the blood draw, reports said.

Oleskiewicz’s mother was able to get him to become alert enough to refuse the blood draw. She provided police with her son’s current insurance card after being told of the charges.

Oleskiewicz was released from Advocate Christ later in the day and he was taken to the Oak Lawn police station where he posted bond. His next court date is Jan. 18.
