New Lenox Man Spat in Cop's Face: Blotter

Michael J. Carlson, 37, was charged with aggravated battery, Palos Heights police said. An officer was hit in the face with a loogie during booking on a Will County warrant.

A New Lenox man spit in a cop's face during a recent arrest, police said.

Palos Heights police found that Michael J. Carlson, 37, of the 700 block of Bittersweet Lane, was wanted on a Will County warrant and arrested him on Aug. 31, according to a report.

During booking, Carlson spit on an officer who was helping out, police said. He was charged with aggravated battery.

Bail for the warrant was set at $50,000.

Carlson was due on Sept. 1 in Bridgeview court.
