Letter to the Editor: Palos Park Police Thank Donors

Palos Park Department offers thanks.

Dear Editor-

The members of the Palos Park Police Department wish to express their thanks to the Palos Park Women’s Club and the Palos Park Police Foundation.

At the February 28, 2011 Village of Palos Park Board meeting Foundation member Darryl Reed was presented with a $1,000 check, which was donated to the Palos Park Police Foundation from the Palos Park Women’s Club. While everyone’s appreciation was noted during the meeting, I would like to expand on the significance of both these organizations and what they do for our community.

The Palos Park Women’s Club and the Palos Park Police Foundation stand for everything good about Palos Park. Their work is the fabric of a community committed not only to public service, but to the importance of community members working together, exchanging ideas and working toward a common goal, in this case community safety.

Each member of the Palos Park Police Department realizes the support, commitment dedication, time and recognition of their efforts by the people they serve, and we realize that is a benefit many of our counterparts do not enjoy.

Thank you to all the members of the Palos Park Women’s Club and Palos Park Police Foundation, your support is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Police Commissioner Dan Polk, Police Chief Joe Miller and the Men and Women of the Palos Park Police Department
