Hailey Fingl, 18, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, Palos Hills police said.

A drug dog hit on Fingl's car and led to police recovering 10 bags of a substance that tested positive for heroin, police said.

Cops were called at about 1 p.m. on July 26 to the 10400 block of Roberts Road on a report of a driver in a red Dodge Neon smoking marijuana, police said. Officers caught up with the car and pulled it over. A K-9 unit came to the traffic stop, gave a "passive indication" of narcotics and located a syringe cap.

Fingl allegedly admitted to having 10 small ziplock bags with the drug, police said. She was taken on July 27 to bond court in Chicago.
