SUNDAY, MAY 5

Dolton Driver Charged With DUI

Timothy J. Avant, 32, of the 14800 block of Woodlawn Avenue, Dolton, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 and stopping in the roadway, according to a report. Police were called at about 11:23 p.m. to the 12100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue for a report of a possibly drunken driver. Avant was stopped and asked to perform field sobriety tests, after which he was arrested. He is due on June 17 in Bridgeview court.

SATURDAY, MAY 4

DUI Charges For Tinley Park Woman

Jennifer C. Buss, 28, of the 6600 block of West 177th Street, Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 and improper lane use, according to a report. Buss was stopped at about 2:36 a.m. in the 12900 block of South Ridgeland Avenue for a lane violation. Police had Buss perform field sobriety tests after she allegedly showed signs he had been drinking. She is due on June 26 in Bridgeview court.

WEDNEDSAY, MAY 1

DUI and Drug Possession Charges

Marc Tarver, 42, of the 9400 block of Hickory Street, Mokena, was charged with possession of controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 and improper lane use, according to a report. Tarver was stopped at about 2:26 a.m. in the 12300 block of South Harlem for a lane violation. Police said the driver had bloodshot eyes and a strong smell of alcohol coming from him. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and gave a sample for a breath test. He was due on May 1 in Bridgeview court.
