DUI Charges for 2 Oak Lawn Drivers: Blotter

Palos Heights police reports, April 12-14.

SUNDAY, APRIL 14

DUI for Oak Lawn Driver

Ian D. Dunworth, 32, of the 4800 block of West 109th Street in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use, according to a report. Police stopped Dunworth at about 3:24 a.m. near 13000 S. Harlem Ave., after he was seen making a lane violation. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver. Dunworth was arrested after taking field sobriety tests. He is due in Bridgeview court on May 17.

Car Burglary

A Tom-Tom GPS device was taken from a car parked in the 6200 block of Carol Lane, according to a report. The victim told police the burglary happened sometime over night between April 13 and April 14.

Purse Theft

SATURDAY, APRIL 13

A resident of ManorCare West nursing home, 11860 Southwest Hwy., reported a purse stolen from her room, according to a report. The victim believes the theft happened sometime between April 12 and April 13 during the overnight hours.

FRIDAY, APRIL 12

DUI Charges

Clayton P. Hanes, 26, of the 9900 block of South 52nd Avenue in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, improper lane use and speeding, according to a report. Hanes was stopped at about 12:23 a.m. near 12100 S. Harlem Ave. An officer speaking with the driver noticed signs he had been drinking. Police arrested Hanes after he took field sobriety tests. He is due in Bridgeview court on May 17.
