Drug-Related Charges and a DUI Arrest for Area Drivers: Blotter

Palos Heights police reports, Jan. 28–Feb. 2.

SATURDAY, FEB. 2

DUI Charge for Oak Lawn Driver

Hassan A. Kurdi, 23, of the 9100 block of Crescent Court in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving without insurance, speeding and two counts of driving under the influence, according to a police report. Investigating officers allegedly found Kurdi to be under the influence of alcohol. He later took a breathalyzer test, which showed a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30

Police Learn of Marijuana After Talking with Driver

Robert J. Marion, 18, of the 6900 block of West 113th Place in Worth, was charged with possession of marijuana, according to a police report. Police stopped Marion's car at around 9:18 p.m. for only having one headlight. Officers learned there was marijuana in the car after speaking with the driver.

MONDAY, JAN. 28

Drug Paraphernalia And An Outstanding Warrant

Andre F. Jones, 28, of the 1100 block of Conrad Lane in Shorewood, was charged with driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with tinted side windows, according to a police report. Jones' vehicle was stopped at about 10:41 p.m. for having tinted windows. An investigation turned up the suspended license, drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant from DuPage County.
