Driver Doing 50 mph Over Limit Accused Of Drunken Driving: Blotter

A Palos Hills man stopped for traveling nearly 50 mph over the speed limit faces a drinking driving charge, police said.

Mohammad Daineh, 22, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving on Aug. 30, Palos Hills police said.

Cops spotted Daineh driving at about 5 a.m. westbound on 111th Street near Roberts Road, police said. He was clocked doing 83 mph in a 35 mph zone.

An officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Daineh's breath, according to a police report. The driver reportedly failed tests for sobriety and was arrested.

Daineh is due on Sept. 25 in Bridgeview court.
