Her family and friends aren’t buying the explanation that the Worth woman was purchasing drugs, stating that it was completely out of character for her. Wawrzyniak graduated from Shepard High School last May. The young woman was a full-time student at the Illinois Institute of Art.
A photo taken during daylight hours from the vantage point of the Metra Station security camera was posted by her family on the "RIP Brittany Wawrzyiak" Facebook page.
Circled in red is the approximate location where the young woman is said to have met her demise in the Worth Terrace Park parking lot, with the words “crime scene.”
Wawrzyniak’s death continues to fuel speculation and rumors on social media that her death was not the result of a freak fatal accident.
Her family implores those with information about Brittany’s death to come forward and talk to police.
Worth Police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force continue to investigate Wawrzyniak’s death.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Worth Police Department at 708-448-3979.
