Battery Charge More than a Month After Attack: Blotter

Delayed Battery Charge

Fatime Destani, 37, of the 14700 block of South Central Avenue in Oak Forest, was charged with battery, according to a police report. A woman came into the Palos Heights Police Department more than a month ago and told officers she was the victim of a battery. She filled out a report but only recently decided to pursue charges. Destani was given a $1,500 bond.

Speeding Stop Leads to DUI Arrest

Patrisha J. De Bois, 31, of the 100 block of East Sycamore in Park Forest, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and not having insurance, according to a report. Police said De Bois' vehicle was stopped for speeding. She reportedly failed field sobriety test. De Bois was given a $1,000 bond.
