Palos Hills Man Charged with Stealing from Grocery Store: Blotter

Chicago Driver Faces DUI Charges

Gabriel Orozco, 39, of the 4100 block of Crestline Street, Chicago, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and improper lane use, according to a police report. Orozco's vehicle was stopped at about 2:35 a.m. near 12100 S. Harlem Ave. for improper lane use. The driver showed signs of driving under the influence, police said, and later submitted to a breathalyzer test. He was booked and given a $1,000 bond, plus his driver's license. He is due in court at March 19.

Retail Theft Charge For Palos Hills Man

Russell D. Oros, 59, of the 7800 block of West 107th Street, Palos Hills, was charged with retail theft, according to a police report. Employees allegedly saw Oros hiding items in his clothing while at a grocery store, located at 12803 S. Harlem Ave., police said. The employees then called police, who waited until he left the store and then admitted to not paying. He was booked and given a $1,500 bond. He is due in court March 5.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 13

Oak Lawn Driver Faces Paraphernalia Charge

Kevin T. Fitzgerald, 20, of the 9100 block of Mobile Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report. The driver was stopped for speeding, police said. Officers allegedly could see drug paraphernalia in plain sight. He was booked and given a court date of April 2.

FRIDAY, FEB. 15

Bridgeview Man Hit With DUI Charges

Claude A. Hensley, 29, of the 7000 block of West 88th Place, Bridgeview, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and improper lane use, according to a police report. Hensley was stopped at around 4:16 a.m. near 11900 S. Harlem Ave. after the vehicle was called into police. Officers allegedly saw bloodshot eyes on the driver and smelled an odor of alcohol on his breath. Hensley reportedly failed field sobriety tests and gave a breathalyzer test. He was booked and given a $3,000 bond. He is due in court April 2.

SUNDAY, FEB. 17

Drunken Driving Charges For Burbank Driver

Madelyn M. Goga, 18, of 8600 block of South Mayfield, Burbank, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control signal, according to a report. Goga was stopped for disobeying a traffic control device. Police allegedly determined he was under the influence of alcohol. Goga was booked and given a $3,000 bond. He is due in court March 19.
