Blaze Damages Palos Hills Garage

No one was home when a garage caught fire on South 88th Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

No one was injured in a Tuesday afternoon fire that burnt a Palos Hills garage.

An official with the North Palos Fire Protection District said no one was home at the 10559 S. 88th Ave. when the fire ignited.

The cause appears to be connected with a refrigerator operating inside the garage, said district Chief Dan Russell. A preliminary investigated indicates that an electrical problem started the fire.
