Accused Underage Drinker Damaged Jail Cell: Police

An 18-year-old Palos Heights man was charged with resisting arrest on Sept. 16.

A Palos Heights man accused of underage drinking damaged a jail cell, police said.

Gabriel M. Adams, 18, of the 12700 block of Auburn Avenue, was charged with resisting arrest and underage drinking, according to Palos Heights police report.

Officers were investigating a separate incident at about 9:06 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the 12700 block of South Auburn Avenue when they came across an intoxicated subject, the report states. Cops learned that Adams was under the legal drinking age.

Police said Adams resisted officer’s attempts to place him under arrest. He also damaged a prisoner cell after cops eventually took him into custody.

Bail was set at $1,500. Adams is due on Oct. 22 in Bridgeview court.
