$50,000 Goes Missing after Locks Changed on Renter

Palos Hills police are investigating the burglary from May 31, according to a report.

A Palos Hills woman who is having problems with a landlord told police she was missing $50,000 that belonged to someone else.

Police were called at about 9 p.m. on May 31 to the 10100 block of South 81st Court for a burglary, according to a Palos Hills report.

The victim told police she was renting a home and was having problems with the owner, according to the report.

The woman returned home to find the locks were changed, preventing her from getting in, according to the report. She said $50,000 cash that was in the house and belonged to a friend was missing.

Palos Hills police are investigating the report.
