$16,000 Lost When Thief Writes Checks from Palos Woman's Account

$16,000 In Fraudulent Checks


About $16,000 was stolen from the account of a Palos Hills woman, according to a police report. The victim told police she was notified by Bank of America that someone was writing checks and making ATM withdraws from her account. Police are investigating.

Maxed Out Account


A Palos Hills man received a call that his debit card had been maxed out after someone used it in New York, according to a report. The victim said his bank contacted him with $4,000 was taken from the account.
