1 Dead After Early Morning Crash on Harlem Avenue

An early morning car crash at 116th and Harlem Avenue in Worth left one person dead, police say.

One person is dead after an early morning single-car crash on Harlem Avenue. 

Around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 the Worth Police Department received a 911 call informing them that a car had crashed on northbound Harlem Avenue at 116th Street, police said. 

Emergency responders found one person in the vehicle and transported the individual to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said. The individual was later pronounced dead. 

It is believed the crash may have involved a medical-related issue, said Rocky Carlson, North Palos Fire Protection District battalion commander. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Worth Police Department and anyone with further information can contact them at 708-448-3979.
