Waddles Wacky Regatta

August 24th at 8:30 AM

At the Palos Heights Pool

It’s time to get the cardboard out and start working on a creative boat for this year’s Carboard Boat Regatta. People of the ages 8 and up, will make their own teams with as many people as they want, and choose their best Capitan and Skipper to paddle their boat across the whole length of the pool. There will be many different awards at the end of the race, and each team will receive a free roll of duck tape and two free-shirts for the participants racing the boat when they register before August 10th. Registration ends August 20th.

This is a place where learning is fun by incorporating it into music, movement, and exercise. We promote exercise and healthy eating, and we inspire the children to use their own creative expression through art, dance and conversation.

Power Play

 

Power Play is an after school program that is perfect for families with a child in Preschool though 5th grade, who need extended care past the regular school hours. Here students receive help with their homework, along with participating in a wide variety of activities including, arts and crafts, games, and other social interaction. Power Play After School Program is held at Chippewa School and is open to all District 128 students from afternoon pre-school to 5th grade. The program runs the entire school year Monday through Friday.

Registration is now open for the 2013-2014 school year.

Skyhawks Youth Athletic Camps

 

Beginning Golf

For boys and girls ages 5-9, this camp focuses on building the confidence of young athletes by teaching the proper technique to refine essential skills of the game. The students will focus on the fundamentals of form, swinging, putting, and body positioning. All equipment is provided, and all participants will receive a t-shirt and merit award.

July 8-12 M-F

Mini Hawk

Mini Hawk is for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 7. The essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, ball and a merit award.

Tiny Hawk

This camp is for boys and girls between 3.5-4. The essentials of soccer and basketball are introduced in a fun and safe environment with lots of encouragement. Campers must be between 42 and 48 months of age and toilet trained in order to participate. Children will learn balance, body movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development through a series of sport-specific games tailored to their attention spans.
