Come out to the Palos Heights Parks and Recreation Department on Saturday May 11th at 10:00am to be a part of Flying 4 Kids, a statewide kite fly! Parks & Recreation all over Illinois will raise awareness for the Park District Youth License Plate program through kite flying. This annual free event will be held at Myers Park (behind the Palos Heights Recreation Center). Families, kids, kite enthusiasts and novices are welcome to enjoy a day of good old fashioned kite flying, a family picnic and FREE ICE CREAM.Bring your favorite kite or come ready to build one on site with one of our free kite making kits. Wind or no wind, be a part of this event for a great cause! Don’t forget to bring your picnic lunch, too.
