Palos Community Hospital's Freedom from Smoking Program begins January 16

Palos Community Hospital is offering the American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking, an eight-week program for adults who are ready to quit smoking.

According to the American Lung Association, quitting smoking is the single most important step a smoker can take to improve the length and quality of his or her life.

Research shows that people who participate in stop-smoking programs with a support system have greater success, compared to those who try to quit on their own.

Freedom from Smoking participants will meet 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Thursday from January 16 to February 27 at the PCH Primary Care Center, 15300 West Ave., Orland Park. One additional class will be held Tuesday, February 4.

The registration fee is $99. For more information or to register, call (708) 226-2300.
