Flu shots to be available at Palos Immediate Care Center in Orland Park

Starting Monday, Oct. 7, Palos Immediate Care Center, 15300 West Avenue, in Orland Park will offer flu shots to people 18 and older. The cost is $25. No appointment is necessary.

The flu vaccine takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body and provide protection against infection. In the meantime, you are still at risk for getting the flu. That’s why it’s best to get vaccinated early in the fall before flu season begins.
