Below is a poem that Mrs. Creevy wrote herself that is still used for Palos 118's annual Teacher Recognition Tea:

To teach, to serve,
To be a part,
Of molding children’s minds and hearts.

A monumental task,
At times,
That goes beyond the school bells’ chimes.

To work with youth,
A special breed,
That sets no limits to exceed.

To read, to write,
To hold a hand,
Regardless of the day’s demands.

The years, the decades,
Quickly pass.
Learning shared from class to class.

To question, to answer,
With patient replies.
For in your hand the future lies.
