Cyclone Women's Basketball Earns Win Before Playoffs

Moraine Valley women's bball grabs one more win before hitting the playoffs.

It was a strong end to a bumpy regular season for the Cyclones. The team won 70-45 on Feb. 16 over Oakton Community College, an improvement over their last meeting two weeks ago when the Cyclones squeaked out a 49-45 victory.

Moraine Valley was down 17-8 early, but came roaring back with a 12-0 run to stay ahead the rest of the game. At the half, the Cyclones led 35-26 and slowly expanded that lead. Another 10-0 run towards the end of the game solidified the victory.

Kim Young (Argo) had impressive numbers with five 3-point shots, and led the team in scoring with 20 points. Tempestt Reynolds (Bloom) has been struggling with injuries all season long, but finally seems ready to go 100 percent evidenced by her 3-for-4 shooting from the 3-point line. She finished with 11 points, four rebounds and three assists.
