Marist High School Supports Relay For Life, Holds Art Show and More

Marist High School raised money for Relay For Life and celebrated the service of two longtime teachers.

-Congrats to the Marist Math Team on their 6th place finish at this weekends state championship.  The Geometry team finished 1st in the state.  JOB WELL DONE!

-Saturday's Relay for Life was a giant success raising approximately $28,000!  Thanks to all the faculty members and students who participated.

-The Spring Choral Concert took place on Thursday, see picture attached.  Wonderful job by the group.

-Also taking place was the Senior Art Show. See pictures of work done by our students.

-The Marist Bass Fishing team finished 19th in the state championships held over the weekend.  Congrats to Coach Gervais and the anglers on another great season.

-Last but CERTAINLY not least.....Congratulations to Larry Malito and Denny Kazelas for their combined 82 years of Service to Marist High School.  They were honored Wendesday night at Gaelic Park. 

Marist is truly a better place and we are better people because of you both.  Below are some of thier accomplishments:

  • Larry Malito: 47 years of Service, English Department Chair for 23 years, Billiards coach and moderator, Began the First Literary Magazine
  • Denny Kazelas: 35 years of service, Chemistry Department Chair, 1st ever recipient of the Marist Faculty Award, Intramural Moderator

Thanks again for all you have done, and will continue to do for Marist High School!
