WellBeing MD Weighing in on Chicago Tribune Coverage of Access to Healthy Food

WellBeingMD continues commitment to empowering people to obtain a healthier lifestyle through their relationship to food from farm to table.

A recent study reported in the Chicago Tribune, Access to grocers doesn't improve diets, study finds, counters the idea that more supermarkets can curb obesity in low-income neighborhoods.  WellBeingMD responded to the study:

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Chinese Proverb.

This study is a call to action for all health protectors in America!  We must provide translational education for people to understand their relationship to real food. The disconnection from the farm to table has contributed a large part to this lack of understanding.
