Palos Hills Alderman Collecting Donations Today for Tornado Victims

Palos Hills Ald. Joe Marrotta is collecting donations for tornado victims on Friday, Nov. 22.

Hello potential supporters,

I will be taking a trip down south tomorrow with a group of students from Stagg high school. We will be delivering MUCH needed survival items to the tornado ravaged families of Illinois. The idea came to me last week when I saw the devastation & suffering that these poor people were going through! I could not just sit back & do nothing! So I decided to make a difference. All I did was simply blast out emails asking for donations & bam on top of the awesome donations support, kids actually started calling me to ask what they can do to help!

So instead of me & my two boys going alone I will now be taking a group of Stagg students with me & one student from Argo High School who asked to join the effort! This is a great compliment to our youth of today! Over the last several days I have been in contact with the leader of the team in charge of relief efforts in the Illinois tornado areas & which will also be my point of contact tomorrow when we saddle up & drive down. Here is a list that he sent to me of the items that are MOST needed..... ALL Non-perishable food items"
