The Palos Heights Farmers Market will be open Wednesday July 17th, from 7 AM to 1 PM, at 12217 S Harlem Ave in Palos Heights.

Rita Schultz and Angie Pope from the Palos Heights Recreation Department will be the featured guests this week at the Community Tent. Rita will be providing information about this year's upcoming Little Learners Preschool Program and other programs offered by the Recreation Department. A Palos Pool Pass Raffle, good for 6 visits to the Palos Pool, will occur at 1 PM. She will also be selling her beautiful handcrafted "Day Dreamer" jewelry. Angie will be providing information about the Recreation Department Musikgarten program, and entertaining the children with her guitar and songs.

The fruit and vegetable selection is "blooming" every week! Peaches, apricots, and early apples are in, along with all the berries. The vegetable selection is growing by the week. Other items available include pizza products and pesto, tamales, organic breads and bakery, eggs, cheeses, and butter, jams and honey, kettle corn, olive oils and vinegars, salsas, hormone-free, antibiotic-free, non-GMO fed beef and pork, beautiful perennial plants and garden supplies, yard art, knife sharpening services, and Shaklee products. Richert-Phillips Farms are offering their Fall CSA program. Stop by their tent for more information.

Mark your calendars for the first of two Canning Demonstrations to be held at WellbeingMD Center for Life on July 31st at 7 PM. Call Dina at 708-448-9450 to reserve your spot!
