Palos Heights Farmers Market

The Palos Heights Farmers Market will be open Wednesday, July 10th, from 7 AM- 1 PM. The Market is located at 12217 S Harlem Ave.

The variety of fruits and vegetables available at the market is expanding every week! Berries are in full season, and summer squashes, greens, onions, potatoes, cabbage, beans and more are in market. Pizza products and pesto, tamales, salsas, organic breads and bakery items, cheeses, eggs, butter, jams, honey, kettle corn, beef and pork, and olive oils and vinegars are the additional food products available. In addition, beautiful perennial plants, garden supplies and yard art, Pampered Chef, Knife sharpening and Shaklee products round out the offerings.

This week at the Community Tent, The Palos Heights Womens' Club is hosting a Costume Jewelry Sale, "priced to sell". Also, the Palos Heights Police Department will be hosting a Bicycle Safety Program, with helmuts, safety flyers and more. Finally, the Palos Heights Library will be hosting a Story Time at 10 AM. Facepainting will also be available from 9-12.
The scheduled visit by State Senator Bill Cunningham and State Rep. Fran Hurley has be rescheduled for August 14th.

Stop by the City Tent to pick up this week's recipe "Cherry Salsa with Balsamic Vinegar and Basil" courtesy of Dr. John Principe MD of  WellbeingMD Center for Life. Make sure to have your Frequent Shopper Card endorsed, and pick up a beautiful photo note card featuring Farmers Market and Palos scenes. Raffle Tickets for the Classic Car Raffle will also be available.
