Palos Heights Farmers Market

Angie Pope, Music Director of Miss Angie's Musikgarten at the Palos Heights Recreation Department, will be the guest of the Palos Heights Farmers Market Community Tent Wednesday September 4th. She will entertain children with her songs, guitar, playing other instruments and music games. In addition, the last Recreation Department Fitness Punch Card raffle of the year will take place. Additional information about the Recreation Department Programs will also be available. 

Congratulations to Phyllis Brunsting, winner of the Ball Products raffle at the August 28th Tomato and Salsa Canning Demonstration held at the office of Dr. John Principe MD. Ball canning supplies, coupons, and recipe booklets are available at the Palos Heights market while supplies last at the City Tent. While at the City Tent, pick up this week's recipe courtesy of Dr. Principe, " Breakfast Israeli Couscous with Apricots, Almonds and Coconut". This and previous week's recipes are available.

Applications are being accepted at the Richert-Phillips stand for the 2014 CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program. A reduced price is being offered for those patrons who sign up in 2013 for the 2014 year. Stop by their tent for more information, or call (574) 274-6019.
