Poll: Is Leaving Iraq the Right Call?

The president announced that all U.S. troops will be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of 2011.

President Barack Obama announced Friday afternoon that all U.S. troops will be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of this year.

The announcement fulfills a promise that candidate Obama made during the 2008 campaign. The Huffington Post reports there was talk in recent weeks about leaving a small number of troops in the country, but it appears the final decision is to remove all troops.

The White House announced that 4,000 to 5,000 security contractors will remain in Iraq.
