Patch Invites You to Salute the Veterans in Your Life

This Friday is Veterans Day, a chance to honor those who served their country. Palos Patch is giving you a chance to honor the veterans in your life.

Uncle. Sister. Grandfather. Neighbor. The odds are fairly high that one of those people--or someone else you know--has served in a branch of the U.S. military.

On Friday, Nov. 11, the country celebrates Veterans Day, and Patch wants to help readers honor the veterans in their lives by telling the community about those men and women who've served their country through the years. Upload photos of family members and Frankfort friends who were part of the armed services and share a little bit about why you're proud of them.

Here's your chance to thank those veterans for their service and remind everyone in how important they are to both you and the country.

To upload your photos click the submit photo button below this article. Leave your thoughts in the photos caption and in the comments section below.

VETERANS EAT FREE ON NOVEMBER 11! It's our way of making up for all those MRE's (ready-to-eat meals). Ed n Joes salutes our Veterans and those on active military duty. Come in Friday, November 11th and get either a *free small pizza with 2 toppings (sorry no larger sizes) or one of our many fabulous sandwiches, none of which are served in a vacuum-sealed bag, or even require hydration! You've served your country. Now we look forward to serving you! *Must present your military ID

Thanks for posting this, Patricia. In an ironic twist I have a meeting with other Patch editors at Ed 'n Joe's on Friday.
