A Busy Weekend in Palos

This weekend Palos Patch will be covering a variety of community events.

I am always amazed by the number of activities and events that take place in our relatively small community. This weekend is what I like to call the perfect storm of community events. As always, Palos Patch will be on hand to document the day.

Friday

Stagg High School Prom - I will be stopping by Stagg's senior prom to take some snapshots of Chargers in all their dressed up glory. A photo gallery will be posted on Saturday.

Saturday

- Stop by the Palos Patch table to meet yours truly, along with ad manager Drew Richards. We will be passing out Patch goodies, signing up newsletter subscribers and answering any questions you might have.

- Vendors will be on hand to showcase a variety of green living products. There are plenty of activities for the kids as well. Read our preview . Patch reporter Joseph Hillenmeyer will be on hand to cover all the action.

Palos Heights Power Opening Day - The girls softball league will caravan from Palmer Park to the Power Fields in Community Park at 10 a.m. Patch reporter Joseph Hillenmeyer will be on hand snapping pictures along the way.

Sunday

Southwest Half Marathon - Route 83 will be home to 2,000 runners as the ever-growing marathon kicks off at 7:30 a.m. The race a major athletic event and charity fundraiser. I will be on hand taking pictures and video and talking to people along the way.
