Worth Museum Celebrates Milestone
The Museum is currently closed for renovation but the curator can be reached at 708 448 7080. Our new brochure of summer programs is available online at www.worthparkdistrict.org
On April 23, 1995, the Museum official opened in the Worth Park District Terrace Centre. It was originall opened in the former nurse's office in the former Terrace School that was obtained by the Park District in 1985.
The museum grew to a larger location with the help of an IL State grant.
We are lucky to be undergoing a new renovation of a former business in Worth; the Bishop's General Store.

While we are currently closed due to renovations, we are happy to annoucne that our grand reopening will happen in the fall. We are here today because of the strong believe in historic preservation from our board and community members. We would not be here today had it not been for those that recognize the importance of local historic preservation.
