Pics: Out With the Old Jewel, In With the New
The old Palos Heights Jewel-Osco building is being torn down this week.
The new in Palos Heights opened on June 28 and workers are moving quickly to tear down the old structure.
Located directly behind the old building at 127th Street and Harlem Avenue, the new Jewel features a larger store and modern shopping amenities. The site will soon be home to a Wendy's and an additional out-lot is also planned.
The project also required extensive drainage work and a new stoplight at Ishnala Drive.
