Palos Park Chili Cook-off

Is your chili hot stuff? Does your family think you make the best salsa north of the border? Put it to the test and join the fun at the Palos Park Chili Cook-off on Sept. 18, after the annual parade.

Local contestants and community groups can compete for cash and prizes in three different categories … traditional red chili, green chili and salsa. Contestants will have three hours to cook up their best recipes on the Village Green. Then samples will be offered, votes will be cast, and prizes will be awarded. In addition, the People's Choice winner will receive $50 and bragging rights for the year! This event is sanctioned by the International Chili Society and Chili Appreciation Society International, so certain rules, restrictions and fees apply.
