Excellence at Shepard: Book talk group analyzes "Divergent"

High school students radiate opinion on music, fashion, movies, video games, and any number of other subjects of popular culture. 

For anyone who might wonder if books can inspire the same interest, Shepard High School Learning Resource Center directors Kim Borgia and Erin Kay know the answer.

Students who attended their book discussion group took apart “Divergent” and, more than once, one another.   Humor, insight and mutual respect characterized the conversation.  But now and then a remark grinded someone’s gears.  The video offers a pretty good sense of the afternoon.
