Arts Extravaganza at Shepard (April 6) a festival like no other

This event will alter your expectations for how an arts festival should feel.

Like other districts, we celebrate the achievements of our scholars and athletes. District 218 also celebrates our artists with a festival you can't find anywhere else.

It's also a bargain.  Tickets, which include great food, are just $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens (60+) and students.

District 218 will sponsor its fourth annual Arts Extravaganza on Saturday, April 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Shepard High School, 13049 S. Ridgeland Ave., Palos Heights.

Sponsored by our Educational Foundation, this event serves as a fund raiser for college scholarships and teacher grants and a festival of drama, speech, instrumental and choral music, comedy, visual and the culinary arts.

Students from Eisenhower, Richards and Shepard high schools will share the spotlight. It's an amazing event and will change your expectations for how an arts festival should feel.
