About All My Sons

Set in 1946, All My Sons tells the story of the seemingly “all-American” Keller family. Joe, a self-made businessman, and Kate Keller have two sons – Chris and Larry – who both served in the army during World War II. Chris returns home from the war; Larry is reported MIA. Joe and Chris have accepted that Larry is gone, but Kate refuses to believe he won’t return home.

The plot thickens when it is uncovered that Joe was wrongfully exonerated nearly four years ago after it was discovered that his company had shipped damaged airplane parts during the war, resulting in the deaths of 21 pilots. During the trial, Joe had placed the blame on his former business partner, Steve Deever, who was sent to prison. Chris has plans to marry Ann Deever, Steve’s daughter, who is also Larry’s old love interest.

As the Keller family faces Joe’s misconduct for a second time, it becomes quite clear that this all-American family is living anything but a dream.
