Stargaze at Lake Katherine This Summer
Lake Katherine will host free family stargazing events, one in July and one in August.
Lake Katherine Nature Center & Botanic Gardens will offer family stargazing nights at the park this summer. The free events will feature guest astronomer Joseph Mayer of the Chicago Astronomical Society.
Telescopes will be set up in the Anniversary Garden. No pre-registration is necessary.
Dates include Saturday, July 5 at 9 p.m., and Saturday, August 2 at 8:30 p.m.
These events are weather dependent and will be cancelled if it is raining or it’s too cloudy to view the stars.
